Hey there Jesus, past girlfriends left me with fear and loss of trust. Someone told me they can still see footprints on my back from a girlfriend walking over me. I never saw myself as a victim. I must have some big brick wall around me. Sometimes I doubt my own judgement. Still feel anxiety about a haunting ex girlfriend. Tend to dead bolt myself inside for safety. I don't feel like a tough guy. I just want to be a good and decent person. Is it safe to be open and vulnerable, and trust again?
RMC, you touched on a lot of very common issues here... first off, your judgement was given to you by my dad, and then evolved over your years of experience, trust it, and trust yourself. Go forward open to new people and experiences, but don't go forward blindly. Learn from what you have lived, but don't let it scar you. You have grown, and come out a bigger, better, person....sometimes some bad shit happens, but try and turn it into a positive. Word. - Jesus
